A lawsuit alleging ‘gang’ activity, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and fraud involving public funds has been filed against PPD.
The Pasadena Police Department (PPD) is investigating a lawsuit filed by a lieutenant against the city and another Pasadena Police Department lieutenant. The lawsuit alleges that the other lieutenant, Anthony Russo, is a member of a gang of high-ranking white officers within the Pasadena Police Department known as the “Good Ole Boys Club.” The lawsuit also alleges that Russo assaulted, discriminated against, harassed, and retaliated against the plaintiff, Lt. Sam De Sylva, after De Sylva was named a witness in an investigation into Russo’s alleged misconduct.
